Filler dissolving
Fixes migrated or overfilled lips
Service Description
Filler dissolving is a injectable procedure where a substance called hyaluronidase is injected into areas where hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers were previously placed. This enzyme breaks down the filler, effectively “dissolving” it to correct overfilling, asymmetry, lumps, or unwanted results. PURPOSE To reverse or adjust the effects of hyaluronic acid fillers safely and quickly. Common uses: Fixing migrated lips, smoothing lumps or bumps, correcting misplaced filler. How it works: Hyaluronidase enzymatically breaks down the hyaluronic acid gel into natural components that the body can absorb. TIMEFRAME Results often visible 1-48 hours after injection. SAFETY Generally safe when done by a trained professional; possible side effects include mild swelling, redness. Allergic reactions are very rare but possible; a patch test may be done before treatment to determine an allergic reaction. IMPORTANT • Hyaluronidase injections can cause a temporary burning or stinging sensation at the site of injection, because of the enzyme’s action. The burning sensation usually lasts only a few seconds to a minute during and immediately after the injection. • The lips will be very swollen after this treatment for up to 24h
